With all space booked one year before the event begins, organisers of ITMA 2015 will add an additional hall, due to a very high response for exhibition space received from global textile and allied machinery and equipment producers.
ITMA 2015 will be held from November 12 to 19, 2015 and till date, its organisers say, 1380 exhibitors from 47 countries have signed up to take part in the exhibition, which will showcase end-to-end solutions for the entire textile and garment value chain.
The exhibition, with a gross space size of over 200,000 sq. metres, will be complemented by several knowledge exchange and networking platforms.
Mr Charles Beauduin, President of CEMATEX explains, “The demand for space has been very strong with applications still streaming in, so we have therefore added an eleventh hall which will have the Fibre and Yarn, Research & Education, Colourants and Chemicals, Software and Recycling sectors.”
Among them are the Research and Education Speakers' Platform, World Textile Summit, Nonwovens Forum, and Textile Colourants and Chemicals Leaders Forum. In addition, a new initiative - ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award has been launched.
The ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award comprises three categories namely, Industry Excellence Award, R&E Excellence Award – Masters and R&E Excellence Award – Doctorate. The latter two are open to post-graduate students.
The winner of the Industry Excellence Award category will receive a cash prize of €10,000. For the Research & Education Excellence Award, the winner of the Doctorate and Masters categories will receive a cash prize of €5,000 and €4,000 respectively.
All finalists will receive certificates, ITMA 2015 full season admission badges, gala dinner tickets, and hotel accommodation.
CEMATEX said it is inviting entries for the award which recognises outstanding industry members and post-graduate students for their contributions to the sustainable development of the global textile and garment industry.
Ms Eileen Ng, Executive Director of MP Expositions, the organiser of ITMA 2015 said, "We are delighted with the strong off take of show space, which reinforces ITMA's position as the world's leading textile and garment manufacturing technologies exhibition.” (AR)
