Marking and coding products provider Matthews Marking Systems has launched two fast dry solvent-based inks for its Viacode L-Series thermal ink jet (TIJ) printer.
The new inks, LS-6020 and LS-6021, are said to be designed to use TIJ printing at industrial speeds on various non-porous substrates.
According to the company, each ink has unassisted dry times that is faster than two seconds and can be used for printing on polyesters, oriented nylon, coated packaging, foils, and resins.
Available in single use cartridges, the LS-6020 and LS-6021 inks allow users to produce quality marks while decreasing clean up, downtime, and maintenance costs.
Matthews Marking Systems L-Series global product manager Les Faulds said, "CPG companies and industrial marking applications will find these inks beneficial as they are easy to use, reduce waste, and increase the number of non-porous and coated stock substrates on which we can provide superior marks."
Viapack, which comes with powerful Viacode software, a touch-screen interface, a thermal ink jet printhead, and installation hardware, is combined with the inks to be used for variety of markets such as consumer packaged goods (CPG) and industrial applications.
