It is reported that Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) announced that it will supply 125,000 tons of large diameter (LD) steel pipes for the construction of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline project in the first half of 2013.
The Central Asia–China gas pipeline (known also as the Turkmenistan–China gas pipeline) is a natural gas pipeline from Central Asia to Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China.
The pipes will have diameter of 1,219 mm with wall thickness of 17.5 mm, of strength grade L555M/X80M according to API 5L standard (PSL 2), and will be produced at the Vyksa Steel Works.
