Spin Master Prepares to Launch Digital Games

Spin Master US is turning to digital games to supplement its range of toys.

It will launch four apps in 2013,based on its Air Hogs,Tech Deck and recently acquired Spy Gear toys,as well as one for a new toy that will also tie in to a game and entertainment franchise, reports Financial Post.

"The company is transforming itself and setting itself up for its next phase,"said Anton Rabie,co-CEO and co-founder of Spin Master.

"We have been saying as a company for the last 10 years that we are not a toy company;we are a children's entertainment company focused on creating great content platforms for kids.

"I do not want to say that the way kids play has changed, but things have broadened—there are more outlets in which they can play,"he said."We want to be the company that recognises where kids want to be."
