SCA Timber Supply says it is grouping its resources to become even stronger in the builders merchants market. SCA Timber president Jonas Mårtensson says the aim is to grow builders merchant sales, currently 25% of SCA Timber’s sales, even further. “The builders merchant sector places exacting demands on delivery reliability and efficient distribution, as well as quality and service, ” he said. “We are already serving two markets, Scandinavia and the UK, and now we are adding a third, France. ” The recent acquisition of French mill PLF provides SCA with a platform to supply the French builders merchant sector, gaining the capacity to further process and surface treat 70, 000m³ of solid wood products annually.
