Independent toy retailers will be able to stock the new Skylanders figures from The In Thing this year.
The Swap Force figures, which connect to the video game, will arrive in the autumn. It’s expected national retailers will be able to order the products from Activision and CentreSoft.
“The new Swap Force looks superb,” The In Thing’s MD Paul Jackson told ToyNews. “We will continue our relationship with Activision through the year so will be heavily involved in the launch to indies.”
The news comes after Disney delayed the launch of its Skylanders-rivalling Infinity figures by two months to August 23rd.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company also recently revealed Pokémon figures that, when placed on the Wii U console controller, allow users to control the characters in- game. The launch of these toys has not been confirmed to any territory other than Japan as yet.
