The organisers promise a strong bias towards energy saving, environmental sustainability and combating light pollution, in keeping with the growing commitment to ecological concerns, even in the economic and commercial fields. The exhibitions will take place between 9 to 14 April.

Euroluce 2013 will have 450 exhibitors, ranged over a 38,000 m2 area. SaloneUfficio- with the theme line “Craftsmanship & Design: Together for Industry” – will be located right opposite Euroluce and in its 16th edition will take up more than 12,500 m2 of exhibition space and 100 exhibitors to showcase the latest in office furnishings, as well as furnishing suggestions for banks, insurance companies, post offices, public and community spaces.

As last year was focused on acoustics, lighting and office accessories, SaloneUfficio promises to bring a have an increasing focus on the quality of working environments.

It is this concept of quality in the workplace that lies behind Jean Nouvel’s “Project: office for living”. He said: “Offices are living spaces that should be seen not just as the same old method actors playing a functional and effectual role, but as individuals pleased to be there.” This concept of pleasure in office living is precisely what is driving the project. The exhibit will be set out over a 1,200 m2 space inside pavilions 22-24, illustrating several different scenarios serving to develop the main strands of his vision of the workspace.

This year, Gubi will introduce an exciting range of new designers and re-editions, such as GamFratesi, Oliver Schick, Louis Weisdorf & Greta M. Grossman’s Grashoppa Lamps.  Gubi will also exhibit part of “Danish Chromatism” at Triennale Design Museum, curated by GamFratesi – introducing a selection of traditional and contemporary Danish art and design.
