Two-store Jensen-Lewis Furniture here is the newest member of the Contemporary Design Group, the San Diego-based performance and buying group.
The retailer, which opened in 1964 selling canvas sofas and chairs and quickly expanded its offering, operates upscale stores in Manhattan's Chelsea and Upper East Side neighborhoods.
"Today the store is very contemporary and full of intelligently designed furniture that is international in scope," CDG said in a release. "CDG members are excited about the expertise that Jim Ehrenthal, industry veteran and co-owner of Jensen-Lewis, will bring to the group."
CDG now has 22 retailer members with 38 stores in more than 35 markets across the country. The group is projecting annual retail sales of about $100 million this year.
