The Printed Cup company has added double wall printed cups to its range of cups manufactured at its Lancashire plant in UK.
The company has installed double wall machines in the plant to manufacture 8oz (250ml) and 12oz (300ml) paper cups.
Printed Cup managing director Mark Woodward said although the company had double wall cups available from its main factory in Asia, there was a demand for smaller quantities in shorter lead times.
"Installing these machines will enable the company to fulfill the demand from customers. Having manufacturing on site also enables us to accurately predict estimated delivery time, giving customers reassurance their printed paper cups will be delivered on time," Woodward said.
According to the company, the double wall cups have an extra layer wrapped around the cup which provides additional insulation to the cup. It protects hands from the heat and also helps to hold the cup sturdier.
