Shoppers formed a lengthy queue in anticipation for the opening of a landmark sale - at one of Berwick's oldest-running family shops last week.
The keen bargain hunters were keen to get the first look at the reduced items – which had been completely hidden from show in preparation.
Fairbairns of Berwick officially launched its grand sale on Friday 20th March to encourage a full stock clearance, to enable it to bring in a vast amount of new stock for this year's season.
Director Martin Fairbairn says: "It is very touching to see the regard with which the shop is held amongst local people in and around Berwick. Both my dad and his dad before him worked tirelessly to set up this shop and to build its reputation, from day one back in 1946 – so to hear all the lovely comments we have heard over the past week means so much to both myself and all the team.
"This is our biggest ever sale and pleasingly, it has brought people in who have never stepped foot in the shop before. Hopefully it will help encourage more people to shop locally – and support some of the great independent shops we have in Berwick town centre.
