2013 Honda Crosstour to Go Om Sale Will Be Revamped Next Week

Japanese carmaker Honda will start selling the revamped version of 2013 Honda Crosstour from 20 November, 2012 with a starting price of $27,230.

The company said it will be offered $525 less than the 2012 model year and will be available in two different four-cylinder models, including the 2-wheel-drive EX and EX-L.

Honda Crosstour models will be powered by 2.4-litre, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC engine, which will deliver an output of 192hp at 7000 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm.

The SUV will also be offered with a new Earth Dreams 3.5-litre, 24-valve SOHC i-VTEC V-6 engine that will deliver an output of 278hp at 6200 rpm and 252 lb-ft at 4900 rpm.

In addition, the Earth Dreams V-6 engine will utilise Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) to maximise efficiency, allowing the engine to run on 3 or 6 cylinders.

According to the company, both the engines are be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shift control.

Safety features of the new 2013 Honda Crosstour will include Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), LaneWatch blind spot camera and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

The additional safety equipment on the new model includes Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, side curtain airbags with a rollover sensor, driver's and front passenger's side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags and active front seat head restraints.
