According to data, the US imported 47,816 tons of cut-to-length plates in December, falling from 60,357 tons in November. Also, the country’s imports of cut-to-length plates in December touched the 2-year low. In fact, the US imports of cut-to-length plates reached a peak of 132,023 tons in August; however, it started to decline in September. Meanwhile, Canada was the largest exporter of cut-to-length plates to the US with 10,174 tons; Brazil was the second largest one with 6,332 tons and Japan was the third largest one with 5,349 tons.
