Textile and apparel production in Central Asian Republic of Kyrgyzstan declined by 21 percent year-on-year during the initial three quarters of the current year, Trend reported citing Kyrtag, the Kyrgyz news agency.
The fall in Kyrgyz textile and garment output is attributed to a drop in Russian exports, as well as a dip in domestic demand for clothing items.
The demand for Kyrgyz textile and clothing items was also reduced due to tightening of the rules within the customs union.
