Xinhua News Agency October 30 - The Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang, together with the visiting German Chancellor Angela Dorothea Merkel attended the symposium with Sino-German Council of Economic Advisers in Hefei on October 30, having dialogues with the entrepreneur representatives of the two countries.

The Chairmen of both China and German sides of Sino-German Council of Economic Advisers made reports on the achievements of the meeting firstly. Responsible persons of more than 10 enterprises including China Minmetals Group, Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group, ZTE Corporation, Fosun Group, Anhui Credit Guaranty Group, and Simens, Thyssen Krupp, Volkswagen Group and B.Metzler seel.Sohn & Co. from Germany reported their opinions and put forward suggestions on strengthening China-German intelligent manufacturing cooperation, facilitating visa application for business people, creating a fair competition environment and properly handling China-EU trade disputes. The two premiers listened to the reports sincerely and made responses.

Li Keqiang said that, China and Germany enjoy close relations and are having deeper and deeper cooperation. China welcomes German enterprises to expand investment in China, and to carry out more economic and trade cooperation. China will further expand its market liberalization on investment. The foreign enterprises registered in China, no matter sole proprietorship or joint venture, will enjoy the same treatment as Chinese enterprises. At the same time while carrying out “China Manufacturing 2015”, and promoting “Public Entrepreneurship and Mass Innovation”, China will cooperate with and match the “Industry 4.0” of Germany, and further strengthen the intellectual property protection. At present, though China’s economic growth slows down and kinetic energy conversion faces a tough process, China’s domestic demand enjoys a large potential, with the largest space for maneuver in the Midwest. He hoped that more German enterprises would invest and start business in Midwest China. China is still one of the most attractive destinations of investment, and the cooperation between foreign enterprises including German enterprises and China enjoys a broad prospect.

Li pointed out that, at present, the developing countries’ demands for infrastructure construction are great. Against the background of weak recovery of the world economy and prominently unbalanced development of the countries, it will benefit the developed countries, China and other developing countries to combine the high-end technologies with China’s middle end technology and equipments through international capacity cooperation. It will better adapt to the demands of developing countries, expand markets for advanced technologies and products from the developed countries and help China with industrial structure upgrading. He hoped that the German enterprises would have the whole world in view, and carry out the third party market cooperation with China to realize mutual benefit and win-win result. He also hoped that the small and medium sized enterprises of the two countries would make use of their advantages, strengthen cooperation during the strategic matchmaking and industrial upgrading, and forge new growth points for China-German economic cooperation.

Merkel said that German-China cooperation has been very close. The two countries should strengthen their mechanical communication and dialogue, and take specific measures to further broaden bilateral cooperation. Germany is willing to take part in the course of Chinas’ deepening reform and economic structure adjustment, participate in China’s development and construction of the Midwest, and be a nice cooperative partner of China. Germany welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest in Germany, and will provide convenience in market access and visa application.

After the meeting, the two premieres witnessed the signing of 15 bilateral cooperative documents in the fields of economy and trade, investment, finance, urbanization and culture.

The State Councilor Yang Jing attended the symposium.
