Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) Leads the Delegation to Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan for the Promotion of the Na

To implement President Xi Jinping’s proposal at the SCO Duschanbe Summit that the National Commodity Trade Fair of the SCO (hereinafter referred to as the Trade Fair) would be held in 2015 in China, and to practically promote the publicity, introduction and exhibition inviting of the Trade Fair, the Vice President of CCCME Wang Guiqing led a working group to Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan consecutively on April 19-26, had in-depth exchanges and communications, made detailed introduction to the preparation work of the Trade Fair, and answered questions of both concerns, gaining great achievements.

During their visit in Mongolia, the working group visited the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), and had talks with the Secretary General of MNCCI. When visiting Kyrgyzstan, Vice President Wang Guiqing visited the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, and had talks with the Vice Minister of Economy and the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. When visiting Turkmenistan, Wang Guiqing visited the Alliance of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the Chamber of Commerce of Turkmenistan. Wang introduced the background, the basic situation and the preliminary preparation of China for the Trade Fair of the SCO. The working group also made a detailed introduction to the planned settings, overall layout and division of booths, agenda and time nodes of the Trade Fair.

MNCCI said that Mongolia thanked China for building the platform for SCO countries to expand export to China and to cooperate with China. The Mongolian government has designated MNCCI as the undertaker, which would actively help China with the organization work of the Trade Fair. Meanwhile, the Mongolia side had in-depth communications with China on the issues like the transportation and custom clearance of the products, the on-site selling, the location of the booths and the supporting activities. Through the talks, the two sides have established the direct contact, and have designated the special contact person for the follow-up work. Finally, the representatives of the two sides signed the minutes of the talks jointly.

The Vice Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan said that, Kyrgyzstan had actively organized enterprises to take part in fairs held in China in recent years, so as to provide impetus for deepening China- Kyrgyzstan economic and trade cooperation. Kyrgyzstan has high enthusiasm for the Trade Fair of the SCO and will organize the competitive products with Kyrgyzstan characteristics to participate in the Trade Fair in China.

The Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan thought that the holding of the Trade Fair is of great significance to promote China-Kyrgyzstan trade and investment cooperation and the cooperation among the SCO countries. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan will inform and invite its members to participate in the Trade Fair. The two sides also agreed to push the bilateral cooperation in large projects, cooperation among small and medium sized enterprises and investment cooperation. In order to deepen the long-term cooperation among the enterprises, the two sides suggested signing cooperation agreements in due time.

The Chairman of Chinese Affairs of the Alliance of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan said that, the Turkmenistan government is now implementing the strategy of encouraging export of national products, and attaches great importance on the vast Chinese market. The Alliance of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan is willing to organize enterprises to take part in the Trade Fair in China. The Turkmenistan side will report the related materials of the Trade Fair to the Cabinet, and submit related materials according to the requirements of China as soon as the Cabinet approves it. Besides, the Alliance of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan hoped that the CCCME would recommend some capable Chinese enterprises to take part in the urban construction and infrastructure construction of Turkmenistan.

Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan thought that the Trade Fair of the SCO is of great significance to promote China-Turkmenistan trade and investment cooperation. As soon as the Cabinet decides to take part in the fair, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan would inform and invite its members to participate in the fair. The two sides also agreed to promote the bilateral cooperation on buildings and projects of complete plants, cooperation among small and medium sized cooperation and investment cooperation.

During the visit, President Wang also visited the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy in the three countries, had talks with the counselors, introducing CCCME’s aspiration to cooperate with the countries in detail, and expressed CCCME’s willing to expand and deepen cooperation in economics and trade, engineering contract and investmen and taking the Trade Fair as the opportunity under the supports of the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office.
