The design research unit to that technology is the terrain on which Polsit 1959, historical Tyrolean company that for over fifty years produces design, has always developed its continual experimentation with innovative solutions.
The absolute attention to detail mixed to a great culture of comfort made it famous for its sofas and armchairs for the furnishing of the private home and contract use.
Polsit 1959 includes several brands including Desart Collection, which is a perfect combination of design and art, not only in the product, but also in dialogue with industry. Desart is a "project box" which contains ideas and design ideas for designers (including emerging markets) and the objects sought to create new forms.

Desart Collection 2010, by Andrea De Benedetto, represents not only an innovative line of chairs and seats but also a philosophy that sums up the delicate combination of Art and Design, as Walter Benjamin called it, describing it as "the meeting between the pure form, or with the aura and the functional form, reproduced in multiple copies. "And so Desart able to move the art in the broadest sense, where we are not accustomed to recognize: the role of industry.
Focal point of this new reality is the designer's desire to overcome the constraints of industry, to rediscover the size of the Atelier, realizing fully its expressive capacity in research on materials and shapes more free.
Andrea De Benedetto has developed this collection based on three themes: memory, nature and love.
|
Three lines inspired by the theme of memory ("Mon Amour", "Four seasons" and "Softy"), the line "Urchin" dedicated to the theme of nature and finally the line "Maîtresse" through which the designer has interpreted the theme of love.
|
Maitresse is a declared homage to women, a woman who wants to represent the private strips for her man. This realization stems from a psychological thinking based on real scientific research: the research stated that the dream of the human being (man and women) is to curl up in the womb to get a sense of security, the individual, feeling protected, so you can relax.
The laces make it provocative. A sensual guêpière the precious and it seems almost possible to see a tight corset on the neckline which then falls back on the concave and smooth.
Softy, the line inspired by the theme of memory, is available in three models: Aviator, Re Sole and Churchill.
Due to the simplicity of its lines, Softy knows and wants to suit every style and circumstance. First one, then two, then three! First chair, sofa and then, almost like a game in which shapes and soft fluffy create configurations in the making. With its modular design, this line seems to invite the sharing of space, mood, time and thoughts, the desire to talk and conviviality.
The first born of the Softy line is the model Aviator: This is a reinterpretation of a classic sofa chester dating from the nineteenth century. In it we see a clear reference to the materials used at the dawn of aviation: the nubuck suede leather, the bulk of the sofa, was used for the jackets of the aviators of World War I while the metallic fabric and riveted, which covers the front of the arms, calls the aircraft fuselage. Aviator can connote so dynamic spaces and modern, adding a touch of vintage and age also the most minimal of environments.
Sumptuous and opulent brocade and characterized by refined details, the Re Sole leads to another era. Its rounded shape and baroque round the arm and turn it permanently, or so it seems, in the arm of the most famous king of France.
