AarhusKarlshamn (AAK), a UK-based edible oils and fats producer, has established a new innovation center in Shanghai, China to support its AAK Acceleration program.
Primarily focused on chocolate and confectionery, bakery and dairy solutions, the center allows the company's customers to work closely with its Customer Innovation team in developing new products and solutions.
It will also offer training at the industry renowned AAK Academies.
AAK Asia Europe Africa president Torben Friis Lange said, this is a key element in their strategy and a very efficient way to develop new applications and new solutions to possible challenges that our customers experience.
"We are very happy to be able to offer this opportunity now also to our Chinese customers and we look forward to an even closer cooperation with them," Lange added.
AAK China general manager Rick Luo said, "This is a breakthrough for the Chinese food industry. The Innovation Center will be the leading center for speciality oils and fats for food and nutritional products."
