Loch Arthur Creamery Is Recalling Its Cheese Products Over Listeria Contamination

Loch Arthur Creamery, a UK-based establishment, is recalling its cheese products over Listeria contamination, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The recall was initiated after the Dumfries and Galloway Council identified Listeria monocytogenes in some batches of Loch Arthur Creamery Criffel as part of its sampling.

The product subject to recall is Loch Arthur Creamery Criffel full fat semi-soft unpasteurised cheese bearing production dates 28 November 2012; 17 December 2012; 19 December 2012 and 21 December 2012.

Loch Arthur Creamery is recalling all date codes up to and including to 11 February 2013 and the FSA is issuing a Product Recall Information Notice.

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores and consumers who have purchased the product are requested not to consume the product and return it to the place of purchase.

No other Loch Arthur Creamery products are associated with the recall.
