Germany-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp has announced that its Steel Europe unit offices in Duisburg were searched by the Federal Cartel Office, Germany's antitrust regulator, on Thursday, February 28, within the scope of alleged anticompetitive agreements between market participants relating to specific steel supplies to the automotive industry in Germany.
ThyssenKrupp stated that the company has no tolerance for antitrust violations and will cooperate with the investigation.
