Henkel will exhibit lubricants and cleaners under the Bonderite brand for the manufacture of two-piece beverage cans at Metpack 2014, a trade fair for the international metal packaging industry, scheduled between 6 May and 8 May 2014.
The new Bonderite line includes L-FM 8300 and 8400 post lubricants, C-IC-700 series of cleaners, and M-PT ME-77 mobility enhancer.
The new L-FM 8300 and 8400 post lubricants, which are part of Henkel's integrated lubricant program, will provide more latitude in the can forming process coupled with extended tool life and reduced bleed-through on the finished cans.
Bonderite C-IC-700 series of cleaners will be used for can manufacturing, and are based on an optimized surfactant technology, along with an enhanced brightener additive. The product range enables etching of the cans with significantly less hydrofluoric acid in the cleaner system.
Bonderite M-PT ME-77, which has improved features over standard mobility enhancers, is a new final rinse mobility enhancer that holds better water drainage properties and provides lower slip angles over conversion coatings.
