In a move that strengthens its global offering of food processing equipment, integrated systems and services, Provisur Technologies, Inc. has opened a new regional office, Provisur Food Equipment (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China (PRC).
The office, which began operations in February 2016, extends Provisur's work in serving a broad range of markets and applications including red meat, pork, poultry, seafood, fruits and vegetables, bakery, luncheon meat and cheese. The U.S. based company designs and manufactures proven grinding, mixing, separating, forming, coating, cooking, freezing, slicing and autoloading food processing technologies.

Our new Shanghai office is strategically located to capitalize on these and other promising opportunities, and our leadership team there is well equipped for - and looking forward to - working with customers in the region as they face both growth and challenges," says Mel Cohen, Provisur President and CEO.
According to Paul Heskens Vice President of Provisur's Asia Pacific unit, the Shanghai office, along with Provisur's Bangkok office that opened in 2010, will help food companies in that market keep up with burgeoning demand for a variety of products. "We can now respond more rapidly to a wide range of regional customer needs by offering processing equipment that quickly and consistently produces a multitude of further value-added products," Heskens says.
To ramp up and meet anticipated increasing sales and service support needs, Provisur's Shanghai operation will continue its growth based on the demands of the market. Provisur's Bangkok office also plans to continue hiring employees to strengthen its operations.
The combined resources in Shanghai and Bangkok will further establish Provisur's standing as a leading food machinery supplier in the Chinese and Asia Pacific market, says Cohen. "Equally important, all of our equipment and systems are backed by a range of technical support to help keep our customers' high-speed food processing lines running smoothly," adds Cohen.
