German ingredients firm Symrise has commenced operations at its flavored powdered mixtures facility for sweet and savory foods in Holzminden, Germany.
The new plant, which also features a raw materials warehouse, will allow the company to consolidate production of flavored powdered mixtures for sweet and savory foods.
The Holzminden facility is a part of the company's €200m project which focuses on the expansion of powder mixing operations and the addition of a new warehouse for raw materials.
In the future, the plant will produce flavors for powdered compositions used in sweets, soups, instant foods and seasoning mixes for snacks.
Symrise stated that it invested more than €5m in the new complex. The mixing facility features two areas - production activities are distributed across 3,500m2, while the warehouse offers room for 1,500 pallets on 1,000m2 of floor space.
Symrise CEO Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Bertram said that the company is combining its two separate powder mixing facilities in Holzminden.
"With our new plant, we are consolidating both production sites and thereby increasing efficiency, capacity and product diversity," Bertram added.
