The global coding, marking and printing firm is adding these to the 1000 Line continuous ink jet (CIJ) printers, offering extended life service core, which is guaranteed to provide five years of operation from the time of installation.
Anthony Blencowe, global business unit director of continuous ink jet for Videojet, said the new Videojet 1530 and 1630 CIJ printers are suitable for a broad range of marking applications and cover various line speeds found in today’s packaging environments.
The new Videojet 1560 and 1660 additionally offer on-board code assurance and productivity tools.
“Like other production equipment, packaging printers require annual maintenance to ensure peak performance. However, the key advantage of our new CIJ printers with the Long Life Core technology is that they offer customers simplified and predictable maintenance as there is no planned wear part replacement required in the first five years,” said Blencowe.
“Depending on the specific model, a customer running a 12 hour, 6 days per week operation will see anywhere from a 23% to 44% improvement in core longevity compared to our earlier 1000 line models.”
