South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor has launched the 2013 Sonata Hybrid car in the city of Amman in Jordan, Middle East.
The new vehicle is powered by an advanced hybrid drive system with Hyundai's Blue Drive technology including a 2.4L gasoline engine that generates an output of 199hp.
Engine of the vehicle is integrated to an electric motor, which delivers up to 30kw adding up to offer a total output of 200hp.
Using electric motors, the vehicle is claimed to travel at a top speed of about 120km/h as well as offer fuel consumption of 16.1km/L.
Sonata Hybrid comes with larger front and rear fascias, extended rocker panels, while the interior features of the vehicle include cruise control, bluetooth, 4.2inch LCD computer with hybrid display.
According to the company, the launch follows 5.9% increase in its sales during the first quarter of 2013 in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Levant regions.
