Sapphire Coast Smoked Fish Recalles Eden Smokehouse Smoked Mussels Mexican Chilli

Sapphire Coast Smoked Fish has recalled Eden Smokehouse Smoked Mussels Mexican Chilli in Australia as it may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

The recalled product is 200g Eden Smokehouse Smoked Mussels Mexican Chilli with all best before dates up to and including 27 Aug 2013. The product was sold in clear sealed plastic packaging.

This recalled product was distributed to Thomas Dux supermarkets, Supabarn, independent supermarkets and seafood stores across New South Wales, Victoria and Australian Capital Territory.

Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause illness in certain groups of people, including pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, and anyone with reduced immunity, particularly the over-60s.
