Taiwanese CSC Remains Prices for Steel Wires and Bars and After Cutting Prices

China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmakers in Taiwan announced to remain its list prices for steel wires and bars unchanged for next January and February after cutting prices for consecutive three times.

It’s known that CSC started to cut its list prices for steel wires and bars from September. The total price cut has reached NT$4,400/ton.

After the prices announcement, CSC’s list prices for steel wires and bars are at NT$22,400/ton and the actual selling prices are at NT$21,200~NT$21,500/ton.

CSC stated that it decided to leave its prices for steel wires and bars flat for next January and February as the Chinese steel wire prices have rose slightly and the international steel price seem to bottom out recently.

Also, CSC expected that its unchanged prices for next January and February would help the downstream buyers to gain orders in overseas markets.
