Xylem Inc has won a contract to develop a customised water treatment system for the Australian town of Taralga. The containerised Xylem solution will use GE ZeeWeed membrane technology that will provide high quality drinking water for 300 people in the remote town.
Since November 2011, Xylem has been a distribution partner into the public utilities market for GE’s advanced membrane filtration products. Construction of the plant has already started with delivery scheduled for July 2013.
Xylem has designed the Taralga water treatment system to be compact in size, durable and flexible to allow for future increases in output if required.
