Airedale NHS Foundation Trust Signs a Contract with Accenture to Implement Hospital System

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has signed a contract with Accenture to implement a hospital computer system that will give doctors access to over a million patient records.

Accenture will integrate TPP's SystmOne system to enable the sharing of patient information between doctors.

Through the integration of patient records across departments, doctors will get real-time information across the region it serves, from different health services.

The trust–based in Yorkshire–will deploy the patient administration system, ambulatory and emergency department management and the first phase of hospital-bed management modules among other functionality.

SystmOne is already implemented at 80 GP surgeries,10 hospices and over 100 community services in the region.

"SystmOne offers us the potential to join up patient care across primary, secondary and social care, creating a'one patient, one record'system,"said Tim Rycroft, head of IT and information governance at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust."This means that clinicians in any care setting will have access to appropriate information about a patient."

He added that the system will help the trust reach its goal of sharing electronic patient record across all our services."
