At a press conference Monday, Raymond Corporation (Booth 3219) announced a new class of fleet management and labor management systems. Its iWarehouse product has been divided into two new products. iWarehouse Essentials is focused on the fleet optimization needs of operational staff, collecting data points such as impact, compliance and utilization in real time. iWarehouse Enterprise turns collected asset and labor information into actionable data for executives with an eye toward warehouse optimization.
Raymond has already successfully deployed the solution with what it says is the first-ever integration of a labor management system (LMS) and fleet management system (FMS). Partnering with LMS provider Easy Metrics, the solution has led to a one-year ROI in a 410,000-square-foot facility managed by 3PL provider Genco.
The facility now has full and integrated visibility into both equipment operators of its 26-forklift fleet and all other employees. A reduction in impacts has decreased maintenance costs, labor costs have been reduced by nearly 10 cents per unit, and pick labor has been cut by 12%.
