Michelman, an industry leader in the development of printing-press primers used in the production and printing of consumer and industrial packaging, paper products, labels, and commercially printed materials, will introduce a variety of new technologies at Labelexpo Americas 2016.
The solutions are formulated specifically for label and packaging printing applications.
Michelman will introduce visitors to a full line of energy curable and water-based OPVs. The new selection of DigiGuard solutions meets a wide range of market needs, from general purpose to high-performance applications, on both paper and synthetic substrates. These new OPVs have been tested and certified by RIT’s HP Indigo Over Print Varnish Performance Program in combination with the company’s proven DigiPrime primers for optimum performance.
Michelman is particularly excited to introduce JetPrime, a new brand of primer for inkjet printing applications. This is a line of high performance, water-based primer technologies that improve print quality and ink adhesion on both film and paper substrates.
Also new to Michelman’s expansive portfolio of solutions will be Michem® Flex R1927 for flexo, gravure and screen printing. This is a primer formulated for use with conventional UV and water-based inks on BOPP, foil and paper substrates.
