HP Appointed Mike Nefkens as Executive Vice President of HP Enterprise Services

HP has appointed Mike Nefkens as Executive Vice President of HP Enterprise Services, it announced today.

Nefkens, who has held the title of EMEA GM for HP Enterprise Services for the last three years, will now be responsible for driving global growth in the division, which delivers IT outsourcing, managed cloud, applications and business process services.

He will also become a member of the company's executive council, reporting directly to CEO and President Meg Whitman.

"Mike has led some of our most successful turnarounds and has already had a very positive impact on the business," Whitman said.

"I'm confident in Mike's ability to build our services business and contribute to HP's long-term goals."

Nefkens joined EDS in 2001 and led the industrial manufacturing and energy teams,  and then the General Motors account, before becoming the GM for HP Enterprise Services in the EMEA region.

Prior to joining EDS he spent 10 years with Holland Chemical International NV, where he held several executive positions including Regional President and GM in Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela and the Western United States.

Nefkens holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a finance degree from Texas Christian University.
