Mercedes Benz Mexico Reportedly Invested Millions in Expanding Its Bus Manufacturing Plant

Mercedes Benz Mexico reportedly invested US$15 million in expanding its bus manufacturing plant in the municipality of Garcia, in the northern state of Nuevo Leon. Harald Hauke, vice president of Mercedes Benz Mexico, indicated that the company will invest US$5 million more in the new production area.

The expansion will generate 300 direct jobs, bringing the workforce to 1,000 workers, he said. The expansion project began in 2012 and it is being conducted with strategic partner Polomex.
