Infor, a leading provider of business software applications serving more than 70,000 customers, has announced that Lottusse, a legendary name in artisan footwear, bags and other leather goods and accessories, has decided to implement Infor M3 in the fashion sector – an ERP software with real time management functions, specifically designed to simplify design processes, product development, sample management as well as sales automation within companies in the textile industry.
• Lottusse is a family run company with more than 135 years’ experience in the manufacture of artisan footwear. The company is experiencing strong international expansion and a growing presence in Asia. Founded in 1877 in the island of Majorca by the master craftsman Antoni Fluxá, Lottusse has managed to maintain a strong brand identity over time, linked to innovation and quality.
• The company’s goal with the implementation of the Infor Fashion solution is to fully integrate and merge all business processes. Until now, the firm worked with in-house made-to-measure management software which could not handle the updates relating to Lottusse’s international growth. The company required up to date information and control over every possible scale and scenario.
• After analysing different ERPs and based on Infor’s experience in similar cases within the fashion world, Lottusse decided to implement the comprehensive ERP, Infor Fashion, as it was the one that best met its specific needs. On the other hand, the hardware architecture supporting the solution - with IBM products supporting the database and servers – was a sure and reliable choice for Lottusse.
• Since April 2012, Infor and Lottusse teams have worked together to develop a consultancy plan with each department manager. On the other hand, they have received technical training to gain independence and guarantee success on behalf of users. The company has an integrated test that enables optimal planning for the project launch, expected for this year.
Lottusse says: “Our growing presence in Asia, the increase in new sales channels such as online commerce and the complexity of some of our processes (the Goodyear stitch system, for example, has 125 different manufacturing steps) forced us to update our management system to gain visibility of our business and streamline everyday operations. With Infor Fashion we hope to cover these objectives effectively”, states Gustavo Picó, Lottusse General Director.
Infor says: “Companies in the textile industry present particular needs such as shortening the time-to-market of new products, reducing operational costs in the face of strong competition or strengthening cooperation between all the members of the supply chain. With Infor Fashion, Lottusse will be able to improve all these issues and continue to bring to the market unique and high quality artisan products,” says Josep Ramón Pou, General Director of Infor Spain.
