Polestar, race car design and development company will optimize the performance of the Volvo V60 D6 Plug-in Hybrid, to increase the power output.
The optimization is aimed at increasing the overall power of the car's diesel engine with 15hp and 30 Nm, when combined with the electric engine, the performance will improve to 0-100Km/h in 6.0 seconds.
The optimization technology has been developed by Polestar along with Volvo's powertrain engineers, which includes software upgrade aimed at improving the performance of the V60 D6 Plug-in Hybrid.
After optimization, the cars power output will go up to 298 hp and 670 Nm, and it will increase the safety in conditions where extra performance is required.
Polestar marketing director Hans Bååth said, "The Polestar optimisation for the V60 D6 combines a strong fuel economy with performance."
"We are happy to be able to offer the Volvo customers with more driving pleasure in combination with the latest hybrid technology, a very interesting area for the future."
The installation will be done by the Volvo dealer with retained Volvo warranty.
