Epistar, the largest Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker, posted consolidated revenues of NT$2.510 billion (US$83.0 million) for April, its highest monthly figure on record, with growth of 5.92% on month and 30.81% on year, and NT$8.751 billion for January-April, hiking 40.17% on year, according to the company.
Epistar will expand production capacity for blue-light and red-light LED chips in the third quarter of 2014, the company indicated.
Meanwhile, the largest Taiwan-based LED packaging service provider Everlight Electronics has reported consolidated revenues of NT$2.558 billion for April, increasing 14.47% on month and 32.20% on year, and NT$8.786 billion for January-April, rising on year by 27.65%.
