Kern has installed Polar D 115 Plus cutting machine at its facility in Saarland, Germany.
The machine has replaced the existing Speedmaster SX 52 Anicolor system to increase the print volume.
Kern has first planned to supplement its existing cutting system with a pre-owned machine.
Later, the company changed its plans and purchased a new D 115 Plus cutting machine due to increase in cutting requirements.
Polard D 115 Plus cutting machine operates through 8.5" touch-screen display. It has 1,998 memory positions for repeat cut sequences.
The machine’s process visualization provides operator with a graphic indication of the material handling.
In addition, the machine can be integrated into the digital workflow through P-NET Compucut.
Other Polard D 115 Eco cutting machine will be operated through an ergonomically arranged control panel with 5.5" monochrome display and extra low-profile keyboard.
Polar cutting machines are durable and programmable cutters with hydraulic drive units.
Polar also produces systems and stand-alone components for small and medium-size runs, as well as in-line systems for the industrial production of labels, such as revenue stamps, business cards, can labels and others.
The die-cutters will be used for individual label designs.
In addition, the Polar Digicut ECO machine will be used to produce greeting cards, invitations, envelopes, folders, letterheads, samples, business cards, table cards, lanterns, puzzles and bookmarks.
