South Korean car maker Kia has given out details about its upcoming Kia Sorento SUV, which is set to make its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The car is based on the 2013 Kia Cross GT concept with stiffer bodyshell, made of high-tensile steel to make the car safer and more comfortable.
Kia has used 19-inch chrome alloy attached wheels along with all season tire while it has reduced the noise factor by 29%, to offer a better driving experience.
On the inside the seven-seater car would provide extra headroom and cargo space while passenger capacity can be split into half if the third row seats are folded.
Sorento features electric-motor controlled power steering system, and UVO hands-free eServices infotainment system to improve the driving experience.
Kia is planning to introduce the Sorento in five engine variant worldwide, which will be capable of producing 170 to 266 horsepower, but in Europe it will only be available in 2.2-liter diesel engine and 2.4-liter petrol variant.
For passenger safety Kia has used forward collision alert, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor lane departure warning, along with camera enabled around-view monitor.
