Fish & Seafood market in Thailand is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6% by 2017, says a report by Canadean Food.
According to the report, "The Future of the Fish & Seafood Market in Thailand to 2017", the year-on-year growth will steadily increase through 2017. It will post 5.6% in 2013, and grow every year to reach 6.1% in 2017.
The major contribution to the market will come from the Frozen Fish & Seafood category, which will have compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.42% during 2012-17.
This increase is more than that of Chilled Raw Packaged Fish & Seafood (Processed) and Chilled Raw Packaged Fish & Seafood (Whole Cuts) categories, both at 5.4%.
The CAGR of Dried Fish & Seafood category will be 5.4% during the period, as against 6.5% in 2007-12. Its volume CAGR of 3.9% is more than 3.4% recorded in the previous five years.
The Ambient Fish & Seafood category will post 5.6% growth rate in 2012-17. Its volume CAGR will be 3.4% in the coming five years.
