Supertec Machinery Inc. supplies a wide range of high-caliber grinders, including cylindrical grinders, surface grinders, internal grinders, centerless grinders, and special-purpose grinders, thanks to its long dedication to the manufacturing of ground parts since 1954 and technological partnership with Italian grinder maker Grisetti in 1989.
The Taiwanese manufacturer started business with grinding out parts for bicycles, motorbikes, and automobiles. Years later, it began developing grinders and signed an agreement in 1989 to license grinder technology from Grisetti.
Company chairman, Y.C. Chu, concurrently a vice chairman of the Machine Tool Committee under the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), points out that the company's products now can compete with rival products from European and American makers after years of diligent R&D work.
The company's grinders are available for shaping outer diameter, inner diameter, surface end and taper; outer diameter of irregular-shape workpieces; huge gears, sockets for turning machines, aircraft engine parts, and pump parts; and huge molds, aircraft parts, machine tool guideways, and vessel parts.
Chu points out that the market for grinders is mostly driven by automotive industry, whose cushion system, steering system, and gear-shifting system are completed on grinding machines.
