Ciao Bella, a US-based dessert brand, has appointed Carlos Canals as the new chief executive officer of the company.
Carlos Canals, a veteran in the natural food industry, worked as a president in Unreal Brands, a candy company that specializes in products free of artificial colors, flavors, corn syrup, GMOs and preservatives. Prior to that, he worked as a president and CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods after spending three years as president and CEO of Kashi in La Jolla.
He also held various positions in the field of marketing, general management and strategic planning with the Kellogg Company.
Carlos Canals said that he plans to begin new initiatives that will contribute to the success of the company in 2013.
Ciao Bella offers gelato, sorbet and new Greek frozen yogurt in unique flavors like Blood Orange Sorbet, Key Lime Graham Cracker Gelato and Raspberry Greek Frozen Yogurt.
