Australia-based Woolworths has recalled Woolworths Select Turkey Sliced 97% Fat Free as it may contain clear plastic, according to Food Safety Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ).
The product subject to recall includes Woolworths Select Turkey Sliced 97% Fat Free with use by date of 22 February 2013.
This product was distributed to Woolworths Supermarkets, Safeway, Food for Less and Flemings Supermarkets across Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
Consumers have been requested not to consume this product and return it to the place of purchase. Food contaminated with plastic may cause injury.
