Packaging company Roberts Mart has invested £2.5m in a F&K 20SIX Central Impression Flexo Printing Press for its Aire Valley plant in the UK.
The investment also included installation of a new three-layer co-extrusion line for Romar Packaging, the company's sister business, printweek.com reported.
Roberts Mart expects that the new press is set to increase its annual production by 30m linear meters and the co-extrusion line to increase annual low density blown polythene film production by 1,600t.
The company, which manufactures shrink wrap, laminated film and printed flexible packaging has clients in industries including food and drink, home textiles and paper products.
Romar Packaging, a subsidiary of Roberts Mart, manufactures mono and co-extruded polythene based films and converted plastic products.
