Taylor Farms Pacific Recalls Pounds of BBQ Flavored Ranch Salad with Chicken

Taylor Farms Pacific, an establishment based in California is recalling about 678 pounds of BBQ Flavored Ranch Salad with Chicken as the product contains egg which not mentioned on the label.

The product subject to recall includes 12.25oz. plastic trays of 'Signature Café BBQ Flavored Ranch Salad with Chicken.'

The affected product bears the establishment number 'P-34013' inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label and a use-by date of 'June 14, 13,' which is located on the top label of the package.

It was produced on 7 June 2013, and was sold to retail stores in California and Nevada.

The problem was identified by the company during a document review and occurred as the company used labels that were designed for another salad product it produces that does not contain egg.

In addition, Taylor Farms Pacific was also notified by a customer who discarded the product because of the mislabeling.

FSIS and the company have received no reports of reactions associated with the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction are advised to contact a healthcare provider.

This recall has been classified as Class I, which indicates a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
