Advanced packaging solutions supplier Rexam Personal Care has collaborated with L’Oreal to create a compact jar for the new Visible Lift Repair Absolute make-up product from L’Oreal Paris, which is launched in the US.
Rexam Personal Care product manager - make-up Audrey Ospital said the new compact, designed by L'Oreal incorporates several features that improve form as well as functionality.
"Rexam's packaging and development expertise in program management, technical expertise and sales support resulted in a fast-tracked, multi-channel U.S. launch for L'Oreal, that had the product on store shelves quickly and efficiently," Ospital said.
The screw cap of ABS, which is embossed with the L'Oreal Paris logo, features a shimmering white gold metalized finish. It is assembled with an integral liner, supplied by MGJ for an airtight fit that prevents drying of the volatile formula.
Further, the screw cap's long thread design communicates a premium gesture with every usage.
The jar is made of clear, thick-walled PETG, which provides a crystalline, glass-like effect. A sense of visual depth and a pin-hinge connects the jar to a white-gold metalized ABS base that comes with a sponge applicator supplied by The Penthouse Group.
According to Rexam, a notch that has been carefully designed results in an auditory snap when the base and jar are closed, which along with the overall look and weight of the compact, helps communicate luxury to the end-user.
