New packaging, licences and pricing are being introduced for Plasticine, as Flair aims to reinvigorate the classic brand.
Launching in the autumn, the firm has made the packaging more modern, fun and suitable for older kids, who are a key demographic for Plasticine.
The popular 99p entry price point has also been revamped, while a new £1.29 line will be introduced; Squidgems contains 50g clay, card sheet and instructions. Classic lines such as the Tubs and 8 pack have also been updated.
All lines will be priced at under £10, while new licences such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (available in My Own and Squidgems) will bolster the brand further.
“The brand is still doing really well,” Flair’s Bridget McKeon (pictured) told ToyNews. “We, of course, would love to increase market share. Retail customers have all responded really well when the new range has been presented, so we would hope that we get increased shelf space.”
