Qionglai, Sichuan Province, and Akzo Nobel N.V May 22 signed a paint production base cooperation agreement in Chengdu, which will build the largest paint base in western China.
With a total investment of EUR 40 million by Akzo Nobel and John Swire & Sons Ltd., the base covers about 311 mu (1 mu = 667 square meters), is planned to come into production in 2015 and will be completed in 2017; the project will have an annual output capacity of 100 million liters.
