Siemens Acquires VePoint of Semikron

German Siemens Company recently acquired VePoint Company of Semikron International, in order to further expand the business of E-Car.

VePoint Company, located in Nuremberg, Germany, has 30 staff. Siemens and Semikron didn’t publish the value of acquisition. They signed a cooperative agreement in the field of E-Car.

Siemens said: “It was a milestone for us to acquire VePoint and cooperate with Semikron. It was closer to realize the high integration of the whole transmission system and further expanded Siemens products series.”

VePoint Company mainly develops power electronic components and systems for hybrid and E-Car market. The company will make a complementary of Siemens’ own products like DC/DC converter. In addition, Siemens Drive Technologeis will further develop its power and electronic product and interior E-Car business.
