Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has secured a contract to supply 14 units of its FUSO Canter trucks to the Slovakia-based meat and sausage producer Tauris.
Under the order, the manufacturer will deliver its Canter 7C18s that generate an output of 129kW (175hp) and come with a 7.5t permissible gross vehicle weight.
The order is part of Tauris's plan to expand its current fleet with the addition of vans that are equipped with freezer box bodies and will be used to deliver meat and sausages to outlets across the region.
Technical features of the vehicle include the Canter Eco Hybrid and the DUONIC dual-clutch transmission that allows it to be driven without the need to shift gear.
The vehicles come with a rear axle that offers a carrying capacity of 6t allowing the vehicle to carry high payloads.
