Kashi, a US-based natural food company owned by Kellogg, has announced the launch of two new varieties of Steam Meals - Three Cheese Ravioli and Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto.
The company noted that the new flavors use steam to bring out flavors from real ingredients.
The two varieties feature Kashi Seven Whole Grain blend and offer two servings per bag while providing a convenient and nourishing alternative.
Kashi Three Cheese Ravioli Steam Meal features Kashi 7 Multigrain Pasta filled with a creamy blend of ricotta, asiago and mozzarella cheeses, combined with spinach, basil and red peppers, as well as chickpea puree topped with a garlic basil Mediterranean tomato sauce. It offers 23g of whole grains, 13g of protein and 5g of fiber per serving.
Kashi Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto Steam Meal features Crimini mushrooms and crisp asparagus with Kashi Seven Whole Grains & Sesame pilaf, and is tossed in parmesan cream sauce. It offers 45g of whole grains in one serving, 12g of protein and 7g of fiber per serving.
The new varieties complement Kashi's existing Steam Meal range which includes Chicken and Chipotle BBQ and Italian Vegetable Medley Pasta for two as well as the single-serve Steam Meal varieties - Chicken Fettuccine, Sesame Chicken, Spinach and Artichoke Pasta and Roasted Garlic Chicken Farfalle.
Three Cheese Ravioli and Mushroom and Asparagus Steam Meals are available in the frozen aisle of grocers and natural food retailers for a suggested retail price of $6.95.
