The University of Illinois has entered into an agreement with Traffic Powered Renewable Energy System (TPRES) maker New Energy Innovations to improve new traffic powered sustainable source.
The sustainable source of clean energy will be used at municipalities, airport entrances, toll booths, intersections as well as entrance and exit ramps across the nation.
Traffic Powered Renewable Energy System creator Ralph A. Black and Chief Technical Officer and co-inventor, Asad Ali have jointly worked to design and improve the effectiveness of this renewable energy system.
The University of Illinois at Chicago Senior Mechanical Engineering and Design Team is expected to work on optimizing the best mechanical system.
TPRES creator Ralph A. Black said: "The UIC Senior Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Design Teams were the missing link we have been looking for to continue this project and help finalize the best amount of energy production with our unit.
"This provides us with the blueprint for optimum use of products in our final assembly. It is our desire to get the best energy production possible.
"We are confident that the UIC Senior Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Design Teams will fulfill that need."
